FAMILY…..Family photo session at Hampton Court Palace, Surrey

By julietlemon February 24 2014 - 10.53 PM
As you’ve most probably gathered from my Blog Posts, I absolutely LOVE my wedding couples, whose weddings I am fortunate enough to photograph.  Not only do I get to capture the biggest day of their lives so far, but  many of my couples also become very dear friends and it is always lovely to keep in touch and hear their wonderful news.
I photographed Fiona & Ed’s wedding a few years back, as well as Ed’s sister’s wedding and since then a few of their friends, so of course it was an absolute pleasure to do a photo shoot for their little one’s first birthday.
Everyone meet the birthday boy Oliver…..isn’t he as cute as a button and his red neck- scarf absolutely adorable!  What a cool little dude!!
Hampton Court Palace, where Fiona & Ed had their engagement shoot, was the location for Oliver’s first professional photo session.  On a crisp January day we were fortunate to have clear blue sky and sunshine, which is impressive considering the amount of rain we had had all month!
It was so wonderful photographing the proud parents and the new addition to their family.  Documenting their first born’s first birthday, getting great shots of him alone and the happy family all together was such an honour.  Clearly after all these years, Fiona and Ed hadn’t forgotten all the wonderful top tips about being in front of the camera and were totally relaxed and radiant.
Incorporating the surrounding of the Palace into the shots from the River Thames to the old, textured brickwork was wonderful and King Henry VIII was also kind enough to grace us with his presence!
With it being the latter stages of the Christmas festive season the old-fashioned merry-go-round was still there and proved to be a wonderful back drop for the shoot. While Oliver watched from the comfort of his buggy I took the opportunity to take a set of great photos of Oliver and Ed.
Really hope you enjoy these photos xxx
