Very soon in London, the iconic and very much loved Big Ben will be undergoing essential renovations which will take 3 years. With this in mind and before the scaffolding is erected, I thought it would be a fab idea to have a FAREWELL (for now) BIG BEN NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP which will be held on…
SUNDAY 5th MARCH
5.00 – 7.00 pm*
WESTMINSTER & SOUTHBANK
£60 per person

*although we do always end up snapping for longer and then enjoy post workshop drinks where we talk more about the wonderful world of photography!
Star bursts from street lighting, light trails from passing traffic, the warm glow of the night sky up above and shimmering lights glistening on the waters of the River Thames will all look incredible together with the skyline of London. Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye are just a few of the iconic buildings that you will be seeing through your viewfinder.
Whatever your level of photographic experience, if you have always wanted to get great photos of London at night but have never got round to doing it, now is the time before the renovation begins.
Treat yourself and your camera to this super-fun Night Photography Workshop where you will learn all you need to allow you to take fabulous night-time shots and come away with an incredible set of photos.
This 2 hour, hands-on workshop will help you learn more about your camera and how to achieve great photographs at night. We’ll share a whole range of practical photography tips and look at the challenges that twilight and night photography present. Camera operation, which differs slightly from daylight photography, is clearly explained. We will then venture along the River Thames, photographing the glowing lights of the city and practising how to snap long exposures of the unique night scenes that London offers.
Our interactive workshop encourages you to ask questions along the way and you will receive continued tuition throughout the session.
You will need to bring along a DSLR and a tripod is ESSENTIAL. Please test the tripod before you come to make sure that it is stable and able to take the weight of your camera.
This course is suitable for those with some understanding of aperture and shutter speed.
Spaces are limited so book you place NOW by calling or emailing me!
Here is the feedback from some of our last workshops…..
“Wow! What else can I say other than a big ‘THANK YOU’ for teaching me how to use my brand new camera. This was my first ever time using a dSLR and you made it so easy to learn. After the first 20 minutes I was starting to think more creatively and began playing around with the menus and settings. Your professional and friendly guidance helped me to start thinking as a photographer and not a point and shoot tourist! By the end of the night I was starting to take photos that I am proud of. Cant wait to apply all I learnt and I’m looking forward to your next lesson at London Bridge. Anyone scared by their camera should come to one of Jules’ photography workshop nights!!” – Paul
“Hey Juliet – just wanted to say a massive thanks for braving the cold and taking us out the other night. From the introductory chat, through the supervised shooting and all the way to the pub at the end I learned so much – and not just about camera settings and techie stuff! The nicest surprise was the insight you gave into creative shots and unusual angles which is what I really like about your pics. It was great that you shared so much of that and getting exposed to your thoughts about the things that were around us that we didn’t even notice has really helped me to get the sort of shots I want. I can’t say thanks enough!” – Tom
“I recently attended one of Juliet’s photography classes in London. It was highly interactive, informative, and of course fun. Juliet’s communication style means you’re comfortable asking for advice and discussing ideas. Juliet willingly shares her experience and knowledge, hence I learnt more then than any other workshops I’ve completed previously (including full weekend seminars). I will be doing more of Juliet’s workshops, and would recommend her highly on both the teaching and professional photography fronts” Craig
“Wow! The photography workshop was great and I learnt so much more about my camera. Understanding the different camera settings and getting to grips of what to use when is something that I had never got to grips with before, but the straight forward way you explained everything has meant that it all made sense and has sunk in. Really looking forward to coming along to more of your workshops” Andy
