Andrea & Stuart’s Thames Ditton Wedding – Putney Wedding Photographer

By julietlemon April 5 2021 - 05.54 AM

It is such a treat to be sharing the wonderful, sun-drenched Surrey wedding wedding of Andrea and Stuart with you. I love being a Surrey Wedding Photographer, it’s the area I grew up in and it is so special to be photographing beautiful wedding day in an area so dear to me.

.

All all the locations were close together in Thames Ditton which really helped the proceedings flow with such ease.

.

The beautiful Bride got ready in the morning at their stunning home whilst the kids were playing in the garden.  There was such a wonderful, happy vibe with the champagne bubbles and lots of laughter.

.

Andrea’s transformation into stunning Bride was being masterfully done by the lovely Gill East who as well as being a super talented wedding hair makeup artist is a super lovely person and a real delight to work with.

.

The church was just a short drive away where Stuart eagerly awaited his beautiful Bride as did their friends and family.

.

Their children were page boy and flower girl and of course looks so cute as they walked up the aisle.  Andrea looked absolutely radiant as she made her grand entrance with her Father beside her and smiled all the way she walked to Stuart.

.

With the service at their local church and the reception at the beautiful country pub, Marney’s Village Inn, an idyllic Surrey Pub, gloriously situated on the picturesque Weston Green, besides Marney’s Pond.  Marney’s Village Inn is the kind of proper English country pub that oozes old-fashioned charm.

.

The wedding celebrations were in the garden there which had been set up so beautifully.  Flowers in jam jars suspended by string from tree branches, rustic pots filled with wild floral arrangements, pretty wooden signs informing the guests of the order of the day, hay bales for people to sit on and a prettily decorated pop-up Prosecco bar.  Bottles of bubbles on ice and bowls filled with exciting goodies from fresh fruit to garnishes and an array of cordials and sodas.

.

Fun was had by all their friends and family, with a play area for the children and so much laughter and excited chatter filled the air.  Wonderful heart felt speeches had everyone’s attention and the evening was filled with lots of dancing to great tunes.

.

A truly super day for such a lovely couple!

.

Here is a bit more of an insight into their day from Andrea & Stuart…

.

Describe your dream wedding day from start to finish and what you planned? How it went and all the little details:

.

We got married on a very hot June day at our local church with 100 family and friends present.  The ceremony was across the road in the garden of a beautiful country pub.  There were lots of children so we set up a separate area with entertainment.  In the evening we had a DJ had a long list of our favourite songs.  It was great fun.  It was a perfect day – to think I had worried about rain when it was actually too hot!!!

.

What was the favourite part of your wedding day?

The ceremony – having all our family and friends under one roof was very special. Plus our two children were there and always refer to it fondly as ‘our wedding day’.

.

What made you pick the venues you did for your wedding?

We got married in our local church which is a beautiful setting next to a pond and green. The reception was in the garden of the village pub opposite

.

Any advice you would give to other couples planning their dream wedding days:

Don’t worry about the little details too much. Once your big day is here you will enjoy it more than you thought possible!
