Ooooh! Laughter, silly faces, tiger growling action, Scissors, Paper, Rock and fallen phone boxes! I am so excited to share the photos from Laura & Andrew’s super-fun Kingston Engagement Photo Session which was jam-packed with fun, laughter and loads of clowning around. Seriously, you wouldn’t believe me if I told you that they were rather nervous about being in front of the cameras, but they actually were! Of course I soon helped them feel at ease and then, as you can see, they totally went for it!
With Kingston being my old stomping ground a good 10+ years ago, it was so lovely to return, see all the changes (super- impressed with what they’ve done with the Market Place!) and look at the town through the eyes of a photographer. Fortunately the rain held off and allowed me to take them to some brilliant locations for the photos: the river walk alongside the River Thames with Kingston Bridge in the background, the newly-refurbished historical Market Place and the fallen phone box art installation on Old London Road.
For those of you who follow my work, you’ll know that I LOVE capturing red phone boxes in my photos, they are so quintessentially British. Well, I was totally in my element with these fallen phone boxes and had so much fun with the couple larking around and under them… (under wasn’t my instruction and it was a giggle to photograph!)
Over by the river it was magical; the warm autumnal colours and tones of the changing leaves across the water made a perfect backdrop for some of the photos. The couple sat and practised their pouting (not my idea and so entertaining to photograph!), giggling about silly stuff and had an amusing game of Scissors, Paper, Rock.
Engagement photo sessions are such a brilliant way for my couples to get used to being photographed professionally together before their big day and dispel any worries about being in front of the camera, which clearly Laura and Andrew benefitted so well from.
It really isn’t that long to go until their stunning winter wedding in December I can’t wait!!! x

I'm lucky enough to work with great people and at each shoot make sure that we have fun whilst getting great photos. I'm based in the UK where I photograph a lot of weddings and lifestyle shoots but also get to travel to far flung destination for a spot of travel, wildlife and car photography.
I'm a Licentiate of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers as well as a Licentiate of International Nature & Wildlife Photographers and have won awards for my photography. My work has been published in national newspapers, wedding magazines, travel guide books, blogs and wildlife publications.
