ENGAGED…..Liana & John’s Engagement Shoot in Spain – Malaga Wedding Photographer

By julietlemon September 4 2017 - 11.20 AM

Yes, this is one of those photo shoots that dreams are made of……..welcome to Liana and John’s engagement shoot in Spain.

Earlier this month the absolutely gorgeous wedding couple flew me over to Spain for a few days to do their pre-wedding shoot.

The photo shoot took place in and around La Cala de Mijas, Malaga and as you can see from the pictures, the weather was absolutely SCORCHIO ☀☀☀!

Being in the land of “Costa del Golf”, and with John loving the game, we of course had to include some golf photos.  With perfectly manicured greens, the rugged, mountainous backdrop and the clear, blue sky, I had an absolute field day snapping away and incorporating it all into the shots with the lovely couple in the foreground.

Liana and John were such a pleasure to photograph.  I’m sure you’ll agree with me that they are a pair of hotties and the camera really does love them!

With so many picturesque spots in the area we shot in several places –  at the beach, in the town, at a castle over looking the sea and town, at their villa, on the golf course and the final location was on a hilltop. The hilltop was where we got John’s new motor into the pictures……his sparkly and rather fast Ferrari 360 Spider! Some of you may have had a little sneak peek from the behind the scenes video I posted up a few days ago.

As most of you know, the main focus of my photography work is the wonderful world of weddings, but there is a slightly wilder and faster side to me and my cameras and that is the world of fast cars, where for the last few years I’ve been photographing the British Touring Cars, World Endurance Championships, Le Mans 24 Hours over in France and more recently a Formula 1 testing session at Silverstone. So the chance to have a super stunning wedding couple and a fast car in the same shot was the icing on the cake for me!!! What more could I ask for???

To get the right shot I had to clamber up a precarious, rocky escarpment, from where I directed John to drive his Ferrari as fast as possible along the hillside road. This enabled me to focus on and pan with the car, just like I do at the race circuit.

It was really wonderful being up so high, making it possible to incorporate so much of the stunning view into the photographs.

Pleased to report that it wasn’t all work, work, work whilst over there in the sunshine and we did squeeze in a bit of time for some horse riding, BBQs and a bit of chill out time by the pool.

Really hope that you love these photos from the shoot. I’m photographing their wedding this weekend at a gorgeous Chateau in France and can’t wait!!
