The lovely Rebecca and Angelo booked me well over a year ago to photograph their wedding in the summer next year. Even though summer is a good few months away they insisted they couldn’t wait any longer for their engagement shoot. With the festive season well and truly underway and Christmas being such a special time for the couple we decided to fill their shoot with seasonal cheer so headed to Southbank in London. Southbank is such a festive place at the end of each year with the quaint Christmas Market, mulled wine and fairy lights everywhere (which I love to incorporate into my photos).
The couple wrapped up warmly and strolled around, giggling away, looking at the goodies in the stalls and soaking up the atmosphere.
With the temperatures being a tad nippy, I of course insisted that some mulled wine had to be consumed during the shoot to keep them warm!
Rebecca and Angelo were such a pleasure to photograph; they were really relaxed in front of the camera and with so much going on around them, besides me doing the picture taking from a distance with my lovely 70-200 lens, they hardly noticed I was there!
Here is the ‘thank you’ message that the lovely couple sent once they’d seen their photos from the shoot…
“Thank you so much for sending the engagement shoot photos on Christmas Eve. It was such a lovely Christmas present! The photos are absolutely amazing and we love each and every one. We couldn’t believe how relax and fun you made the day as we were a little nervous having our photos taken in London. It was a great way to celebrate our engagement and also reminiscing our very first date seven years ago.”
Awwwwwww! How sweet of them to write to say thanks! I really hope you enjoy looking through their photos x
