A couple of months ago I got an email from Daniel saying that he and his girlfriend would be coming over to the UK from the USA on holiday and he was planning to ask her to marry him whilst they were over here. He was keen to book me to do an engagement shoot in London once he’d popped the question. Wowzers!! Super exciting stuff and so thoughtful of him! Of course I was delighted to get great photos of the lovers in London, so with a few secret emails we planned the shoot.
It was Taylor’s first time in the UK and although both live in the States, Daniel is originally from the UK. He had meticulously planned a whirlwind of sightseeing for her, which, of course was topped off by a certain question he asked her when they were at the top of The Shard. Well, you’ve guessed it……..she said ‘YES!’
Their engagement shoot took place a few days after the proposal and the couple were radiant and literally walking on air – it was so sweet. Southbank was the location for the shoot, with so many iconic buildings and structures like Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye (just to name a few) providing the perfect backdrop for their photo shoot.
The couple were an absolute pleasure to photograph and we had a real giggle throughout the shoot. It was fun incorporating the sights of London into the shots from red phone boxes to red buses.
They were absolutely over the moon with the photos from the shoot, which were displayed at their engagement party back in the States. The really magical thing is that I will be seeing Daniel and Taylor again this year when they are back in the UK for a wedding that I am photographing, where Daniel is the best man! I’m really looking forward to catching up with the lovely couple then and hearing all their exciting news.
Really hope you enjoy looking at their photos x
