Garden time fun,a slide, dancing, chalk drawings, ice creams with hundreds and thousands, bikes and cars, bubbles, cookies, chocolate, dancing and a teddy bear tea party in a wigwam!
I’ve been so looking forward to sharing this family shoot over in leafy Surrey with you because we had so much fun doing it.
Taking the time to hang out with the lovely family in their natural surroundings, capturing snippets of their life through the photos, was such a wonderful treat.
An iPod and speakers were set up in the garden and this provided a fun soundtrack for the shoot. It was great seeing the girls dancing away busting out their impressive dance routines to the songs, with the great tune ‘Moves Like Jagger’ being the fave!
Seeing the kids play their games really made me reminisce about my childhood and the ‘hundreds and thousands’, which I have not seen for years evoked pleasant memories!
The bubbles were a massive hit and it is always fun to see mums and dads blowing away frantically trying to keep up with the demand for yet more bubbles!
The really magical thing is that when the family looks back on these pictures in years to come they will reflect such happy childhoods and wonderful family life. Of course I have no doubt that the one or two more silly or embarrassing photos will be making an appearance at their 18th birthday celebrations!
As you can see, towards the end of the shoot a certain little person got their mitts on one of my cameras and was snapping away, capturing some really fab shots and even caught me in the background of one of them! Of course she has been earmarked as a future JLP photographer when she is old enough!!!
Really hope you enjoy this selection of photos from their super fun family photo shoot x
