LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS WEDDING!!! Everyone meet Donna and Gavin and welcome to their FABULOUS wedding day!
Huntsham Court, a stunning Victorian Gothic private mansion, set in the lush Devon countryside, was their gorgeous wedding venue. It truly was a photographer’s dream, especially because we were fortunate enough to have a super sunny day, despite the weather forecast predicting thunder and heavy downpour!
Their wedding day had a Country Fête theme, to which the venue lent itself so perfectly. The couple had decorated the venue beautifully with coloured bunting, adding to the already quirky and vibrant room décor. The attention to detail for their day was incredible and made it such a pleasure to photograph; from the rarer and different flora additions of succulents to the bouquets, the table favours of homemade jam and lemon curd to the large table centre-piece jars filled with wind wheels and colourful straws with moustaches – all so fun and quirky.
The morning consisted of a flurry of activity, with finishing touches being made to the details for the day, Fête games being set up for the reception later on, the Groom writing out his speech and champagne being sipped.
The girls preened themselves to the happy sounds of funky house music and were so chilled and ahead of schedule that they even had time to tidy up the room – a definite first for me to witness in the 7 years I’ve been photographing weddings!
Donna looked exquisite, her flawless makeup complemented by her hair, which was styled by her Sister-in-Law. Her dress was stunning and perfect, so dainty, yet fun and timeless.
The picturesque All Saints Church, conveniently located on the driveway of Huntsham Court, allowed Donna to walk the short distance with her Dad and her Bridesmaids. It was so beautiful seeing them walk up the driveway, surrounded by greenery, with the imposing Huntsham Court in the background that it looked like a scene from Jane Eyre!
The church was packed, the service was lovely and the few little glitches had the whole congregation laughing!
During the outdoor reception, the guests mingled in the gardens, enjoying scones with all the trimmings. Fête garden games including Splat the Rat, a coconut shy, Jenga, skittles and croquet kept the adults entertained and brought out their playful and at times competitive sides!
Their day was jam-packed with so much fun and laughter, making it an absolute treat to photograph and capture the celebrations. Donna and Gavin, thank you so much for bestowing me the honour of photographing your wedding. I loved every second of it! x

I'm based in the UK where I photograph a lot of weddings and lifestyle shoots but also get to travel to far flung destination for a spot of travel, wildlife and car photography.
I'm a Licentiate of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers as well as a Licentiate of International Nature & Wildlife Photographers and have won awards for my photography.
