The Italian gardens and hidden Roman temple are especially iconic, offering incredible backdrops for portraits throughout the day. Meanwhile, The Old Library creates a romantic indoor ceremony space filled with soft natural light and timeless character.
As a Surrey wedding photographer, I always find Wotton House inspiring because every corner offers something visually stunning.

BRIDAL PREPARATIONS FOR A WOTTON HOUSE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
The morning preparations at this Wotton House wedding were filled with excitement from the very beginning. Upstairs in the bridal suite, bridesmaids chatted whilst hair and make-up artists created a calm and joyful atmosphere.
Champagne glasses clinked, flower girls waited patiently for floral crowns and laughter filled the room naturally. Meanwhile, Ali stayed calm and present, which made her morning feel even more special.
Once she stepped into her dress, the energy shifted beautifully and emotions filled the room. Downstairs, Tom greeted guests with ease, looking sharp and relaxed before the ceremony began.
WEDDING CEREMONY PHOTOGRAPHY IN THE OLD LIBRARY AT WOTTON HOUSE
Ali and Tom’s ceremony took place inside The Old Library at Wotton House, one of the most iconic spaces for Wotton House wedding photography.
The room was beautifully styled with florals by Flowers by Elaine, which enhanced the romantic atmosphere perfectly.
Soft natural light poured through gothic windows, creating the ideal setting for emotional and candid wedding photography. The flower girls walked confidently down the aisle before Ali made her entrance with her father.
Tom’s reaction was one of those unforgettable moments that makes Wotton House wedding photography so meaningful to capture. Throughout the ceremony, I photographed discreetly, focusing on natural emotion and connection.
Afterwards, Ali and Tom shared how intimate and personal the ceremony felt, which is always such a lovely thing to hear.
RELAXED WEDDING RECEPTION PHOTOGRAPHY AT WOTTON HOUSE SURREY

There was laughter everywhere, with guests enjoying:
- hugs and congratulations
- relaxed conversations
- joyful celebrations
- champagne toasts
Ali and Tom were keen to stay present with their guests, so we kept group photography efficient and natural.
Because I always plan ahead, we completed portraits before a brief rain shower arrived later in the afternoon. Fortunately, everything flowed perfectly and nothing was interrupted.

ELEGANT WEDDING BREAKFAST & EMOTIONAL SPEECHES AT WOTTON HOUSE
The Evelyn Suite looked beautiful for the wedding breakfast with soft styling and elegant details throughout. Guests enjoyed a wonderful meal while listening to live music from Bryan Edery Music, which created a relaxed and joyful atmosphere.
Speeches followed soon after and were filled with:
- heartfelt emotion
- hilarious storytelling
- meaningful memories

Guests laughed and cried in equal measure, which always creates incredible moments for Wotton House wedding photography.
ROMANTIC EVENING WEDDING PORTRAITS AT WOTTON HOUSE
Later in the evening, the dance floor was full and the celebrations were in full flow. At the same time, a light rain began to fall outside, creating a beautiful opportunity for final portraits.
We headed back towards the Roman temple with umbrellas, which added a fun and romantic feeling to the moment. The soft rain, dramatic lighting and stone columns created a cinematic backdrop for Wotton House wedding photography.
These evening portraits became some of the most memorable images of the entire day, full of atmosphere and emotion.

KIND WORDS FROM ALI & TOM
One of the most meaningful parts of being a Wotton House wedding photographer is hearing feedback from couples after they receive their gallery.
“Juliet was so professional from start to finish. From the initial consultation at our house a few weeks before the wedding to run through how the day would go, to rallying everyone on the day for the perfect shots, working round the day’s itinerary and the weather! She took really natural pics, nothing too staged and lots of action shots of the day.”
Ali & Tom, Wotton House newlyweds
Feedback like this is incredibly special, especially when it reflects the natural and relaxed approach I always aim for in my Wotton House wedding photography.
