A FUN, RELAXED AND BEAUTIFULLY AUTUMNAL WEDDING AT WASING PARK IN BERKSHIRE

As a Wasing Park wedding photographer, some weddings instantly stay with you long after the day ends, and this was absolutely one of them. Wasing Park provided the perfect backdrop for Sheps and Matt’s stylish autumn wedding filled with warmth, laughter and personality.

Warm October sunshine, rich burnt-orange florals and crunchy autumn leaves created the dream seasonal atmosphere throughout the celebrations. Add dogs, tarot cards, outdoor drinks, dancing and a stunning bridal jumpsuit into the mix, and the entire day felt effortlessly cool from beginning to end.

Most importantly, the wedding felt completely true to them. Every detail reflected personality, connection and genuine joy rather than tradition for the sake of tradition. These are always the weddings I love photographing most because the atmosphere feels relaxed, emotional and beautifully alive.

For couples searching for a wedding photographer, this venue offers an incredible combination of countryside beauty, relaxed luxury and natural wedding photography opportunities.

WHY WASING PARK IS ONE OF BERKSHIRE’S MOST BEAUTIFUL WEDDING VENUES

Nestled within the Berkshire countryside, Wasing Park instantly feels calm and welcoming the moment you arrive. The venue balances countryside charm with elegant design while still feeling relaxed and personal throughout.

Wasing Park beautifully combines:

  • Rustic charm
  • Modern elegance
  • Countryside beauty
  • Stylish interiors
  • Relaxed luxury
  • Warm atmosphere

For couples wanting a wedding that feels stylish without becoming overly formal, the venue works beautifully. During autumn, the grounds become especially magical as golden light and changing leaves transform every pathway and garden.

As an autumn wedding photographer, it genuinely becomes one of my favourite seasons to photograph because the colours and textures feel naturally cinematic.

WHY AUTUMN WEDDINGS FEEL SO SPECIAL

There is something incredibly romantic about autumn weddings. The textures, colours and atmosphere create a warmth that photographs beautifully throughout the day.

Sheps and Matt embraced the season perfectly with a stunning colour palette featuring:

  • Burnt orange
  • Rust tones
  • Terracotta shades
  • Warm neutrals
  • Seasonal foliage
  • Golden candlelight

Everything felt cosy, vibrant and wonderfully atmospheric while still remaining elegant and modern.

STUNNING AUTUMN WEDDING FLOWERS BY WHITE HORSE FLOWER COMPANY

The floral styling by White Horse Flower Company looked absolutely incredible throughout the venue. Every detail felt seasonal, immersive and beautifully connected to the autumn atmosphere.

Highlights included:

  • Dramatic floral arches
  • Textured seasonal bouquets
  • Warm-toned aisle flowers
  • Elegant reception styling
  • Rich autumn foliage
  • Rustic seasonal textures

The flowers transformed the ceremony and reception spaces beautifully while still allowing the venue’s natural character to shine through.

AUTUMN LEAF CONFETTI AT WASING PARK

Instead of traditional confetti, Sheps and Matt chose autumn leaves, and honestly, it worked perfectly for their wedding.

Guests threw handfuls of rich autumn-toned leaves into the air while the couple celebrated together surrounded by laughter and excitement. The movement and texture created such a beautiful moment photographically.

Why it worked so well:

  • It felt seasonal and personal
  • It created movement and spontaneity
  • It photographed beautifully outdoors
  • It offered a sustainable confetti alternative
  • It added warmth and texture to images

This was easily one of my favourite confetti alternatives I have photographed at a wedding.

THE COOLEST BRIDAL STYLE IN A WHITE JUMPSUIT

Instead of a traditional wedding dress, Sheps wore an incredible white jumpsuit from Lucy Can’t Dance, and she looked absolutely amazing.

The jumpsuit felt modern, stylish and completely effortless while beautifully reflecting her personality and confidence. Her tattoos added even more individuality to the overall look, making the styling feel authentic and completely her own.

This is exactly why I love modern weddings so much. Couples are increasingly creating celebrations that genuinely reflect who they are rather than following expectations.

A RELAXED WEDDING DAY FILLED WITH LOVE AND LAUGHTER

From the moment I arrived at Wasing Park, the atmosphere felt joyful and wonderfully relaxed. There was no stiffness or unnecessary pressure throughout the day.

Guests laughed together, conversations flowed naturally and everyone seemed genuinely excited to celebrate with Sheps and Matt. That kind of atmosphere changes everything photographically because it allows moments to unfold honestly and naturally.

As a result, the images feel emotional, vibrant and full of genuine connection rather than overly posed or structured.

AN EMOTIONAL CEREMONY FILLED WITH AUTUMN ATMOSPHERE

The ceremony space looked breathtaking once guests arrived. Warm florals, candlelight and seasonal styling softened the room beautifully while creating an intimate and romantic atmosphere.

Then Sheps walked into the room looking effortlessly stylish and completely radiant.

The ceremony itself felt full of:

  • Emotion
  • Laughter
  • Happy tears
  • Genuine connection
  • Beautiful energy

Everyone felt completely present throughout the ceremony, which always creates the most meaningful moments to photograph.

DOGS AT WEDDINGS ALWAYS MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER

One of my favourite things about modern weddings is seeing couples include their dogs throughout the celebrations. Weddings instantly feel more personal and relaxed when beloved pets become part of the day.

Their dog added so much warmth and personality throughout the celebrations while becoming an instant favourite with guests as well.

Honestly, dogs at weddings are always a brilliant idea.

OUTDOOR DRINKS IN WASING PARK’S WALLED GARDENS

For an October wedding in the UK, Sheps and Matt were incredibly lucky with the weather. Sunshine filled the afternoon, allowing guests to fully enjoy the outdoor drinks reception within the beautiful walled gardens.

Guests mingled beneath the sunshine while children played across the gardens and cocktails flowed throughout the afternoon. The atmosphere felt sociable, stylish and wonderfully relaxed from beginning to end.

This part of the day always photographs beautifully because people naturally settle into conversations and genuine interaction.

A WEDDING DESIGNED ENTIRELY AROUND FUN

One of the things I loved most about this wedding was how intentionally fun every detail felt. Everything centred around creating experience, connection and genuine joy for guests.

Fun details throughout the day included:

  • Autumn leaf confetti
  • Tarot cards
  • Outdoor drinks reception
  • Made-to-order ice cream
  • Dogs joining the celebrations
  • Live DJ moments
  • Dancing throughout the evening

The made-to-order ice cream station became an instant hit with guests and added another playful layer to the celebrations.

COSY AUTUMN STYLING DURING THE WEDDING BREAKFAST

The reception space looked stunning once everyone entered for the wedding breakfast. Warm candlelight, textured florals and earthy tones created a cosy and elegant atmosphere throughout the room.

Tablescape details included:

  • Seasonal foliage
  • Warm candlelight
  • Autumn textures
  • Earthy colour palettes
  • Elegant styling details

The tarot card styling also introduced a slightly bohemian edge that suited the couple beautifully.

EVENING PARTY ENERGY AT WASING PARK

As the evening celebrations began, the atmosphere shifted into full party mode incredibly quickly. One of the most memorable moments came when Matt and his son both stepped behind the DJ decks together.

Guests packed the dance floor while the energy became completely electric throughout the evening celebrations.

This is exactly why I love wedding photography so much because weddings hold space for both emotional moments and complete dance floor chaos. The laughter, movement and energy matter just as much as the quieter moments.

And this wedding had absolutely all of it.
